David Wyss

Chief Economist, Standard & Poor's

David Wyss is the chief economist at Standard & Poor’s, based in New York. In this position, he is responsible for S&P’s economic forecasts and publications, and co-authors the monthly Equity Insight and the weekly Financial Notes. David joined Data Resources, Inc. in 1979 as an economist in the European Economic Service in London, which was acquired by McGraw-Hill. He came back to the United States in 1983 as Chief Financial Economist for DRI/McGraw-Hill, became chief economist for Standard & Poor’s DRI in 1992, and chief economist for Standard & Poor’s in 1999.

Before joining DRI, Dr. Wyss was a Senior Staff Economist with the President’s Council of Economic Advisers, Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Board, and Economic Advisor to the Bank of England.

David holds a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. David testifies regularly before Congress, is quoted regularly in the press, and has appeared on many major television programs. He has written many articles for popular and professional publications.

Akiba Stern

Partner, Global Outsourcing Group, Morgan Lewis

Akiba Stern has advised clients for more than 25 years in all aspects of business law both as in-house counsel and at law firms. He concentrates his practice on outsourcing, technology-enabled business transactions, technology transfers, licensing, intellectual property, and joint ventures.

Andrew Wasser

Associate Dean, Carnegie Mellon University

Andrew Wasser is the Associate Dean of Graduate Information Systems Management at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He is responsible for three of the highest ranked graduate level programs in applied business/information technology in the nation and is Executive Director of Carnegie Mellon's CIO Institute.

Dean Wasser teaches Global IT Sourcing at Carnegie Mellon and consults on offshore sourcing, IT Communications, and IT process maturity.

Dean Wasser's career has centered on applying business technology in large financial service environments. He most recently served as Director of Mellon Financial Corporation's Project Office, where he and his team achieved CMM Level 3 certification for over 1,000 software professionals. At Mellon, Dean Wasser established their enterprise-wide offshore IT outsourcing program, successfully implementing standard practices for workload selection, vendor management, compliance, and reporting.

From 1995-2000, he served as the Chief Information Officer of the Dreyfus Corporation, leading more than 200 technologists at one of the nation's leading mutual fund and retirement services companies.

Dean Wasser has a degree in Economics from The University of Chicago and a Master's of Science degree is in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.

Christy Long

Senior Vice President,Wachovia Bank, BPO Contract and Service Delivery Manager Enterprise Planning and Strategic Initiatives

Christy is a Senior Vice President in the Enterprise Planning and Strategic Initiatives Group of Wachovia. Her group is responsible for the development of outsourcing best practices for consistent use throughout Wachovia, appropriate management of outsourcing vendors, monitoring of the regulatory environment, support of opportunity assessments, service delivery and risk mitigation.

Christys career in banking covers over 15 years. She has managed numerous projects and programs in the areas of Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Treasury Services, Internet Banking, Contact Center Management, Systems Development, Mergers, Process Improvement, Service Delivery and Contract Management. David Hudanish

David Hudanish is a partner in the Business & Technology Sourcing Practice, leading the practice out of our New York office. David was one of the first lawyers in the United States to advise on business process outsourcing transactions. As early as the mid-1990s he structured and negotiated fund administration, electronic trading, check processing and other BPO transactions. David's transactional practice focuses on outsourcing, information technology, e-commerce, and intellectual property. David represents companies engaged in structuring and negotiating information technology and business process outsourcing agreements, development agreements, licensing agreements, royalty agreements, and strategic alliance and joint venture agreements.

Elizabeth Grealy

Senior Vice President, IT Strategy Planning & Globalization Program Office, State Street Bank & Trust

Elizabeth has worked at State Street, a financial services company for six years. She is Vice President of the IT Strategic Planning and Globalization team and oversees the IT Globalization program. State Street currently has over 1600 offshore resources working within the IT organization; resources are from both India and China. In her role, some of her primary responsibilities include the development of the IT Globalization location strategy, relationship management of the global service providers, ensuring global service providers comply with State Street's corporate auditing and information security policies and procedures, negotiation of Global Delivery Pricing Agreements and Master Service Agreements and Globalization program reporting to the CIO.

Prior to State Street, Elizabeth worked for IBM in the Lotus Consulting organization and prior to that she was employed by Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.

Elizabeth received her MBA at Simmons Graduate School of Management. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems.

Gregg I. Goldman

Executive Director and Head of Legal, UBS,
IT Infrastructure and Group Offshoring

Gregg is an Executive Director and the global Head of Legal for IT Infrastructure and Group Offshoring at UBS AG. Greggs team is responsible for providing legal support to UBS' global IT and offshoring groups, including approving all outsourcing initiatives to UBS' captive service centres in India and Poland.

Gregg joined UBS in 2002 and was formerly the Global Head of the Intellectual Property team for UBS Investment Bank. Prior to joining UBS, Gregg practiced in the Patent and Litigation groups at Proskauer Rose LLP in NY.

Gregg holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Applied Mathematics from the University of Buffalo, cum laude, and a J.D. from the George Washington University. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. Gregg is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, as a registered patent attorney. Additionally, Gregg is a member of the Computer Law and Intellectual Property (CLIP) financial services working group, the SIFMA Intellectual Property subcommittee, and BITS, the technology group for The Financial Services Roundtable.

Joe Buggy

SVP, Global Service Excellence, Sutherland Global Services

Joe leads the management team that is responsible for the successful execution of Sutherlands client engagements. Over the past decade, his focus has been to develop and deploy innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience while creating opportunities for profitable revenue growth on behalf of Sutherlands clients. Joe works with several industry standards organizations including JD Power & Associates and the Service & Support Professionals Association (SSPA). He chairs the BPO subcommittee chartered with the development of the stringent best practices criteria for the prestigious JD Power Excellence in Service & Support industry award, and is a standards board member of the SSPA.

Judy Tschirgi

Ex-CIO, SEI

Judy Tschirgi is an advisor to various banking & financial services firms. In February of 2007 she retired from SEI Investments after 12 years. From 2001 to 2007 she was a Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer responsible for corporate technology strategy, technology development and technology operations. She previously held management roles in product management, and technology development. Prior to SEI, she was at AT&T Bell Laboratories for 16 years, holding management positions in speech technology R&D, new product development and user-interface design. She holds a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from the University of California, San Diego, and a B.A. in psychology and human biology from Stanford University.

Judy serves on the boards of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia and the Peoples Emergency Center, and is a Trustee of the Mastery Charter School System in Philadelphia.

Larry Bortstein

Senior Vice President and Head of Technology Law Lehman Brothers

Larry Bortstein is a Senior Vice President and the Head of Technology Law for Lehman Brothers. Larry has extensive experience in handling technology and outsourcing transactions in the financial services industry. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Open Source Software Working Group of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). He also currently serves on SIFMA's Technology & Regulations Committee.

Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 2005, Larry spent 41/2 years as Group Counsel in the Technology Law Group at American Express. Prior to joining American Express in 2000, Larry spent 61/2 years at Willkie Farr & Gallagher. Larry is a 1994 graduate of Brooklyn Law School and a 1991 graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.

Matthew Booth

Vice President of Operations Development, Boston Financial Data Services

Matthew Booth joined Boston Financial Data Services in 1998 as Vice President of Operations Development. As part of his role in assisting BFDS to achieve operational excellence he established offshore transaction processing operations in India.

Prior to Boston Financial, Matthew held positions as Vice President of Quality and Vice President of Process Engineering for Scudder Investments.

Previously he worked in the manufacturing sector and held positions in factory management, manufacturing management and engineering management.

He earned a B. Sc. in Applied Physics and a M. Sc. in Physics from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Michael F. McGovern

Managing Director, Securities & Fund Services Technology, Global Transaction Services, Citigroup Markets & Banking

Michael F. McGovern a Managing Director and is the Global Head of Technology for the Fund Services, Securities Finance and Issuer Services businesses within Citigroup Global Transaction Services. Mr. McGovern joined Citigroup in October 1999.

He has spent 22 years in Information Technology supporting the global financial services industry, primarily the global custody, fund administration, securities finance and asset management businesses. Prior to Citigroup, he spent five years at Chase Manhattan Bank, where he was responsible for their global custody and fund accounting data warehouse and client information delivery architecture. Prior to Chase, Mr. McGovern was responsible for the U.S. domestic custody systems at Chemical Bank. Prior to Chemical Bank, he spent 9 years in the global financial services systems consulting practice of Digital Equipment Corporation.

Natalia Levina

Associate Professor, New York University Stern School of Business

Natalia Levina is an associate professor at New York University Stern School of Business. Prof. Levina's main research interest is in understanding how people span organizational, professional, cultural, and other boundaries in the process of developing and using Information Systems (IS). She uses qualitative and quantitative methods and a range of social and organizational theories in her work. She currently studies boundary spanning in the context of global IS outsourcing and offshoring. Her research has been published in ISR, MIS Quarterly, Organization Science and other outlets. In 2005, she has been awarded Alfred P. Sloan Industry Studies Fellowship to investigate boundary spanning in global IT services industry. In 2007, she has received IBM SUR faculty award to continue her studies of outsourcing and offshoring. Professor Levina teaches courses on Global Outsourcing Strategy and IS and Organizations Research Seminar. Prior to joining NYU, she has received Bachelor of Arts in computer science and mathematics and Master of Arts in mathematics from Boston University. She received her Doctor of Philosophy in information technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management.

Paul J. N. Roy

Paul J. N. Roy is a partner in the Business & Technology Sourcing Practice in the Chicago office. Peter Nag

Head of Global Wealth Management Offshore Initiative, Citigroup

Over 20 years management and technology experience, developing strategy and technology solutions in the high-tech and financial services sectors. In his capacity as the 'mastermind' behind Lehman Brothers' offshore outsourcing strategy, Peter managed its worldwide PMO operations with a headcount of over 500 and a run-rate save of $20 million in the first year of the operation. He also spearheaded Lehman's captive site strategy and execution including front-office, middle and back-office functions with a current headcount of 1,500 and on-track for economic gains of over $150 million annualized. Over the years, Peter has been responsible for driving many front-office, technology and productivity enhancing initiatives for Investment Banking, Equity, Fixed Income, Mortgage Origination, Information Technology, and Project Management groups in the United States and overseas.

Peter currently heads Citigroup's Global Wealth Management offshore initiative based in New York. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director & Partner with Opera Solutions, a management consulting firm founded by former partners from McKinsey and AT Kearney. Recognized as the expert in business, operations and technology offshoring, Peter chairs forums representing the Financial Services sector in consortiums, conferences and investor calls worldwide.

Peter holds an MBA and graduate degrees in management and engineering from Wharton/ Penn Engineering, University of Pennsylvania; Rensselaer (RPI), Troy NY; and the Indian Institute of Technology.

Rajendra S. Sisodia

Professor, Bentley College

Rajendra S. Sisodia is professor of marketing and founding director of the Center for Marketing Technology at Bentley College. He has a Ph.D. in marketing and business policy from Columbia University. He has published nearly 100 articles in journals such as Harvard Business Review, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Strategy, Journal of Business Research, and many others. He also writes frequently for the Wall Street Journal. His research, teaching, and consulting expertise spans the areas of strategic marketing, marketing productivity, marketing ethics, and stakeholder-based marketing. In 2003, he was cited as one of "50 Leading Marketing Thinkers" by the U.K.-based Chartered Institute of Marketing. Sisodia consults with and provides executive seminars for companies in various industries. He coauthored The Rule of Three (Free Press, 2002) with Jag Sheth. Other recent books include Tectonic Shift: The Geoeconomic Realignment of Globalizing Markets (Sage Publications, 2006) and Does Marketing Need Reform? (M.E. Sharpe, Inc., 2006), also with Jag Sheth.

Robert Moore

Bob is a senior project manager with two decades of experience. His project work has included business process re-engineering, consolidations, systems implementations,technology assessments, and major program launches. He holds a Master of Science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Software Development Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from Clarkson University. He is a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.

Allison Sagraves

Administrative Vice President, Global Sourcing Director

Ms. Sagraves manages the Global Services group, which is responsible for developing the Banks strategy and implementation of offshoring. Since joining the Bank in 1991, Ms. Sagraves has held a number of managerial positions in the Technology & Banking Operations, Retail, Finance, and Commercial Marketing Divisions.

Ms. Sagraves has an MBA from Harvard University, and a bachelors degree from Smith College, cum laude. Prior to receiving her MBA, Ms. Sagraves was a graduate of the Financial Management Program at International Paper a Fortune 100 company. Ms. Sagraves has also held various managerial positions in financial services and consulting at Barclays Bank in New York City. In addition, Ms. Sagraves has served as a White House Intern and as an associate with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

Ms. Sagraves is a Certified Cash Manager through the Treasury Management Association. Ms. Sagraves is a trustee for the The Park School, where she is a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Marketing Committee. Ms. Sagraves has also held various leadership roles in the United Way as well as with other local organizations.

Sonny Ajmani

Practice Leader, Outsourcing and Off shoring, Opera Solutions

Sonny Ajmani is a Partner with the New York office of Opera Solutions. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Ajmani has served several large financial institutions in US and Europe on operations reengineering, offshoring, outsourcing, strategic sourcing, business development and strategy initiatives. During his consulting career at Opera Solutions, and previously at Mitchell Madison Group, Mr. Ajmani assisted in designing and implementing various operating models including outsourcing technology and operations, assessing feasibility of carving-out back-office operations to become a BPO provider, and setting/ramping up offshore captive operations.

Mr. Ajmani also has several years of line experience. As the Vice President of Strategic Development at Dun & Bradstreet, he led a global cross-functional reengineering/offshoring initiative and co-led D&Bs acquisition and integration of Hoovers. Prior to that, as the Vice President of International and Business Operations at Elance Inc., Mr. Ajmani was instrumental in building Elances international presence to drive rapid revenue growth and setting up voice and non-voice operations.

Mr. Ajmani received his MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College, MS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and BS in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, BHU, India.

Sridhar Rajan

Senior Manager, Deloitte Consulting Outsourcing Advisory Services Practice

Sridhar Rajan is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Consultings Outsourcing Advisory Services Practice. Sridhar has over 11 years experience in operations outsourcing and offshoring,.

His focus has largely been on advising Financial Services clients on a number of strategic and operational issues, including outsourcing, post merger integration, process reengineering, and corporate strategy. Representative clients include Citco, The Bank of New York Mellon, Citigroup, and JP Morgan Chase.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Sridhar was part of the MphasiS U.K leadership team, based out of London. MphasiS is a $220 million global BPO and IT service provider, now part of EDS. Prior to MphasiS, Sridhar had worked at Andersen and at Mitchell Madison Group.

Srini Krishnamurthy

Vice President and Enterprise Sourcing Officer, The Hartford

The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc.

Srini Krishnamurthy heads the Global Sourcing function at the Hartford. The scope of his responsibilities include outsourcing and offshoring programs across the enterprise (Life, Property & Casualty and Corporate) and across functions (IT, BPO and back office.)

Before joining the Hartford in 2004, Srini was managing vendors for Capital One's offshore customer service program (across India, Philippines and Costa Rica.) At Capital One, he was in multiple leadership roles in the company's outsourcing and offshoring efforts. He helped the company identify sourcing opportunities, led sourcing strategy development and implementation for multiple large, complex projects and institutionalized vendor governance programs. He also led the sourcing efforts for Capital One's successful IT offshore program.

Prior to joining Capital One, Srini spent a couple of years at Bain in their Chicago office, as a member of teams advising clients on profit improvement, organization redesign and market entry strategies.

Srini also has significant sales and marketing experience in Asia (India, Singapore and Japan) and Africa with a Japanese equipment manufacturer and in his last role with them was regional sales manager for South Asia and Africa.

Srini has a MBA from the Harvard Business School in General Management. He also earned a Masters Degree in Economics and International Business from a leading institution in India.

Tim Kafesjian

FVP and Outsourcing Product Manager, BNY Mellon Asset Services

Tim Kafesjian is First VP and Outsourcing Product Manager for the BNY Mellon Asset Servicing division of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. The Outsourcing group provides a wide range of products to the Investment Manager community including, Trade Processing, Cash Management, Accounting, Data Management, Reconciliation, Performance & Analytics, Client Reporting and Managed Account Servicing. He is responsible for new technology initiatives, industry initiatives and new product roll out within the Outsourcing space.

Prior to joining The Bank of New York Mellon in 2003, Tim spent 16 years at Bank of America Corporation in various leadership roles within their investment/performance operations, private wealth operations and corporate finance groups; the last seven as Director of Operations for Bank of Americas Fixed Income group.

William F. Gibson

CEO, IVY Creek Associates

William F. Gibson is the CEO of IVY Creek Associates, a consulting firm in the financial services industry. He has been the Global Chief Operating Officer for ING Investment Management, and the Chief Operating Officer for New York Life Investment Management. Will has spent many years on both the buy-side and sell-side, both on Wall Street and internationally. In these, and previous roles, he provides leadership in the securities processing and operations, information technology, mergers & acquisitions, finance, risk management, compliance, and strategic planning, areas.

In addition to being a member of the Advisory Board of FSO Knowledge Xchange, Will is on the Board of Directors of the Asset Management Division of the Bond Market Association, the Board of Directors of IndexIQ (the leading developer of next-generation index and quantitative investment strategies), and the Client Advisory Board of the Bank of New York Mellon. He is also on the Alumni Board of James Madison College of Michigan State University.

He has participated in numerous panels and committees of the National Investment Company Service Association (NICSA), Association Luxembourgeoise des Fonds d'Investissement (ALFI), the Securities Industry Association, and chaired the international Euromoney Outsourcing conference, as well as several FSO events. He is also the co-author of How to Do Systems Analysis, which is published by John Wiley & Sons (2007).
