The Western Union Company, global leaders in payment services, have announced the acquisition of Travelex Global Business Payments (TGBP) in France after successfully meeting all the regulatory and licensing requirements. Raj Agrawal, President, Western Union Business Solutions, commented that France is a major international payments hub and the acquisition has given them a great opportunity to expand into the French market. The client base mainly includes SMEs from a wide range of industries including educational institutes, non-profit, high-tech, travel and legal.
Customers and businesses will be able to utilize Western Union’s online service platform through which they can make and manage international payments round the clock from their computers on a dedicated French website in more than 135 countries. In addition, they will be able to check real-time exchange rates and fees, and receive 24/7 live customer support.
