Dr. Thomas Meyer

Thomas Meyer is a
senior economist with Deutsche Bank Research, the think tank of Deutsche Bank Group. He covers topics related to new digital technologies and how they are changing the economy, the banking sector and financial markets. Over the last few years, he published widely on the economics of outsourcing and offshoring and spoke at various industry and academic conferences.
Before joining Deutsche Bank Research, Thomas was a research fellow at the Jean Monnet Centre at Freie Universität Berlin and a consultant with Landesbank Berlin. Thomas holds a PhD from Freie Universität Berlin.

Nick Burr

Nick Burr heads up the Citi's EMEA Institutional Administration Services Product Group. Within his role he is responsible for the development and ongoing product management of outsourced services for Asset Manager Middle Office activities. Prior to his current assigment, Nick was responsible of the management of Investment Administration and Operations within Citigroup Asset Management and Citibank Private Bank across the European region. Nick has worked Citigroup for 28 years.

Lynn Clark

Director, Head of Middle Office, RCM (UK) Ltd
Lynn Clark joined in 1993, to specialise in accounting and taxation aspects of investment trusts. Subsequently, Lynn headed up the Fund Accounting team, and then took on the role of Head of Operations for RCM (UK) Ltd. Following the outsourcing of the RCM operational functions in 2005, Lynn now heads up the RCM Middle Office – a team of five individuals which manages relationships with all of RCM’s UK third party administration providers. Prior to joining RCM, Lynn worked for Coopers & Lybrand in Edinburgh and Jersey. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, and was previously a member of the AIC Technical Committee.

Andy Efstathiou

Andy Efstathiou is the Director for NelsonHall’s Banking Benchmarking and Sourcing Program. Andy brings to NelsonHall 25 years experience in banking and financial services. He has global responsibility for the development and delivery of NelsonHall’s research and advisory services into banking processes and the application of business process outsourcing.
Andrew has worked for money center banks, including Citibank, in key roles managing the customer and counterparty operations with other financial institutions. He then worked in a consulting capacity advising regulatory agencies and investment banks on operational issues and business performance. Recently he worked as an industry analyst on issues of IT Services, sourcing, and business process outsourcing.
Andrew Efstathiou has a B.A. degree in economics from Harvard College, and an M.B.A. degree from Stanford. Efstathiou is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer and has appeared on many TV and radio news programs internationally, written numerous articles for and been interviewed by numerous leading publications, including The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes Magazine.

John Ellinas joined Citibank in 1977 and worked in Operations and Technology in Greece, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Denmark, Italy, France and UK in Corporate, Consumer and Investment banking sections. Joined the Shared Services EMEA in January 2006 with the objective to introduce Operational Structure in the processes and management, create a Shared Service Center, migrate functions from high cost locations around EMEA into the SSC. Transform the service delivery and get the Shared Services better aligned to the internal Customer needs for better delivery that meets the company strategy and delivers the technology platforms for unit cost reduction.

Andrew Houston

Andrew Houston counts over 18 years of capital markets experience. Before co-founding Amba Research, Andrew was Head of Asia Research and Asia strategist at JPMorgan Chase & Co. He was also Head of Asia and Deputy Head of Asia Pacific Research at the firm, and was responsible for all graduate and MBA recruitment for four years. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Andrew was an analyst and then Head of Research for JF Securities, Thailand. Andrew managed a Country Research team which ranked No.1 in Institutional Investor, Euromoney, and Asiamoney and managed the Institutional Investor No. 3 ranked Asia Strategy team. Andrew started his career in the British Army and then Barclays Bank. He is a graduate of Nottingham University and the London Business School.

Nasrin Janmohamed

Nasrin has over 25 years of experience in the delivery of complex, often trans-national, transformational change to clients from client side advisory, through technology implementation and outsourcing of services.
In Capgemini for 10 years, Nasrin has held leadership positions across the business with much of her focus in Financial Services amongst other sectors. An early champion of distributed delivery, she is increasingly convinced sourcing strategies dictate winners and losers in both good and not so good markets. Prior to her current role, Nasrin was VP Head of Retail Banking for Capgemini UK.
Nasrin spent 10 years with IBM and 5 years with her own start up businesses. Although located in London she has spent much time in both Europe and North America.
Nasrin is a mother of two handsome boys aged 13 and 16.

Nick Jennings

Nick moved into sourcing sphere at Lloyds TSB where he is Head of Rightsourcing Consultancy. He has played a founding role over the last 8 years in the development of Rightsourcing as a specialised sourcing advisory function within Procurement, working across the group wide spectrum of service and business process functions. He has led the development of sourcing consultancy and best practice, and has been responsible along with his team for putting in place the majority of outsourcing deals that Lloyds TSB has taken to market, including multi supplier offshore delivery centres in BPO and IT, innovative build/operate/transfer structures, joint venture and supplier venture capital funded deals.

Prior to his current role, Mohit was responsible for setting up the operations of Infosys Technologies S. de R.L. de C.V, a subsidiary of Infosys in Monterrey, Mexico. His interests include corporate and personal technology. Mohit is currently based in New York.

Aron Miodownik

Aron Miodownik is the President of Cambrian Associates, an advisory firm serving VCs, Wall Street firms and CEOs of financial technology firms. Aron is a senior business and technology executive with more than 20 years of experience in Financial Services. He has operated in COO, CAO and CIO roles at Merrill Lynch and UBS, and previously spent eight years with Accenture in their strategic services group in UK, Europe and Russia.
In 2007, Aron also became the Chairman of CorrectNet, the leading provider of client reporting solutions to the asset management, fund administration and hedge fund markets.
Aron is a Board Member of Folio Dynamix and SciVantage, and an advisory Board member for Merrick's Capital, Alphacet and FSO. He holds series 7, 63 and 24 licenses.
Aron has a degree in Engineering Science & Management from Durham University.

Mark Prinsley

Rick Simmonds |
Partner & Head of Financial Services Sector, Alsbridge
Rick is an established industry leader with a successful track record in outsourcing consulting and building BPO businesses for major players.
Prior to founding Alsbridge, Rick has advised many global corporations through Business Process Outsourcing solutions. He has extensive BPO and ITO deal experience, and has played a key role on deals with the London Stock Exchange, Exel, Shell, Agilent, Jardine Matheson, Nestlé and others.
As a founding member of the BPO team in Accenture (then Andersen Consulting), Rick established and ran an independent outsourcing advisory firm, subsequently becoming the first partner in Ernst & Young's European BPO team.

Stephen Smith |
Director of Global Management Information (MI) for the Willis Group
Stephen Smith is the Director of Global Management Information (MI) for the Willis Group, responsible for developing new technology and information to assist the Group’s decision makers and managing the teams in Mumbai and the UK responsible for maintaining reference data and producing MI.
The Willis Group uses a combination of near-shored and offshored service centres to support its global insurance broking activities; as former Finance Director for Willis’ Global Operations and IT division, Stephen was a director of Willis’ Indian company which employs over 1300 associates.
In previous roles, Stephen was CFO of a listed fund of hedge funds where he managed a wide range of outsourcing providers and before that worked in Financial Control for Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse First Boston. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Stephen spent several years auditing global businesses at KPMG.

Eric Selvadurai |
Managing Director – European Business WNS
Eric Selvadurai joined WNS in 2002, and is based in India and the UK.
He is a BPO industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in offshore outsourcing. Prior to joining WNS, he was Asia Managing Director (BPO services) of Hays plc, an FTSE 100 B2B services company. He set up and managed processing centers in the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the UK.
In his capacity as President Global Operations, at WNS, he was instrumental in setting up the Indian and Sri Lankan operations to cater to the exponential demands of the business.
Eric was the founder CEO, of the Enterprise Services vertical at WNS. This Business Unit at WNS specializes in delivering value to customers through operational excellence in Horizontal services (Finance & Accounting) and industry-specific Vertical services for the Retail, Utilities, Logistics, Manufacturing, Media & Entertainment segments. Today, Enterprise Services provides high-impact BPO services for several Fortune 500 organizations, and is among the fastest growing businesses within WNS.
Eric is now the Managing Director and leader of the WNS European business (including Continental Europe). His focus will now be to further expand the UK and European business of WNS.

Sanjiv Somani

Managing Director, Group Offshoring, UBS
Sanjiv Somani joined UBS 3 years ago to work on Group wide strategic initiative on offshoring. He joined the management team, at the start-up stage, responsible for offshoring across UBS Group and setting up captive centres in India and Poland. He runs a global team responsible for business and solutions development, transition, marketing and communications . He has also worked on projects to develop a global operating model by evaluating/setting up centres in India, China, Europe and America. He is a member of the Management Committee responsible for setting strategy and exercising oversight of captive centres.
Prior to UBS, Sanjiv worked with McKinsey in London for 5 years as a consultant advising various Financial Services and IT services companies on business strategy and Operations/IT strategy. On Offshoring and outsourcing, he has been involved on all aspects - vendor selection, commercial model selection, location selection, transition and captive set-up. Before McKinsey, Sanjiv worked with Citibank in India where he was Head of Operations for a retail banking product and Head of Internet Banking for Emerging Local Corporates in India, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic.
Sanjiv holds an MBA in Marketing and a bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering.
